8 June is daddy's birthday! Went grocery shopping with mummy in the afternoon and bought a whole lot of seafood back for tonight's dinner. Surprisingly, the slipper lobster were cheap! we bought a few back to bake. haha.. Jun Jie bought the four season's durian cake for dad.. yummy.. and he did the baking. I think his cognac went to waste cos he poured it over the lobster and put it in the oven. I supposed it wasnt properly marinated and he forgot to coat some butter (i think it'll just make things cooked faster). And I stir-fried the squid w chilli flakes, garlic, onion and black pepper! nice~~ mummy did the rest of the cooking.
Sumptous dinner! All of us were veryyy fulllll and we still have one more cake to finish. Lucky it tasted really good.. sponge cake layered with durian puree and a thin layer of cream and mini durian puffs on top..

So not used to getting up early on a sat morning. I took a train to cityhall station and was hoping to take a cab from robinson's rafflescity taxi stand. unfortunately, it was pouring when i reach the station and i don't have umbrella! it was close to 10am then and robinson's would only be opened at 10.30 or 11. so i hurried to look for other exits to the taxi stand. Ahh.. found one exit to a sheltered taxi stand :) i'm so lucky. I called Ben, he said only Ravi and himself were there, with 50 kids. Haha. the LCSS kids really reached there eurrrli. when i reach there, i kind of got a shock. they were kids of ALL ages. from 7 to as old as a sec 2 or sec 3 teenagers. By 10.30, most of the MOH staff and team leaders reached. There were about 100 Lcss kids and about 10 LCSS staff and volunteers.. We gathered in teams of 24 and i was the team leader for Team 3. haha. some of the kids were reallyyyy cute. you can easily differentiate the quiet and shy ones from those more active ones.

haha. it was a fun day out with the kids! we had popeye's and distributed goodie bags to them before they left. it also feels good to do voluntary work. kids really add laughter and fun to our boring lives.. the ride would be much better without the rain. I would certainly recommend a ride at night! it will be more beautifulll..
took a train home and cabbed to our new place with mummy. The kitchen cabinet is up! in an absolutely lovely passionate red shade!
ahh.. how nice is that. we chose the colours =) the tv console was supposed to be this color as well. but we decided to let it be white gloss and the wall be hot pink, surrounded by the earthy neutral colors walls. We're still waiting for the painting to be done. Mummy's wardrobe is done. Nice~~ much of the nitty gritties are done. We're just waiting for the painting and finaally my wardrobe, bed's, shoe cabinet to be ready. haha. everything's going smooth.
After that we went to Gain city. My driving instructor said that the prices there are lower as compared to the other stores like courts and best denki. They were doing an LG road show when we got there and they recommended the newest model, LG scarlet, to us. The design is sleek, with a clear glass touch sensor button rounded by LED red light. The sound was tuned by this famous guy, Mark ____ (couldn''t rmber his surname), and the contrast ratio was one of the highest 50 000:1. Hahah.. so much info provided by the promoter. We compared it with the other strong brands like Sony, Hitachi and Samsung. Somehow we were convinced that the specs of this model were better (i hope we are right) and so, we got a 37inch Scarlet and at a v good deal too :)
It was half past 7 when we finally left that place. phew... so tired.. so we decided to cab home. We shall be getting the lights and fans next weekend.
Met qing hui and sengkiat after that to go to the airport to fetch him. Again, we were late. He was rather pissed with us (esp. me). It's the second time we were late. haiz. sometimes things are just beyond my control. His friends are the ones driving so what say have I? And he'll be flying to bangkok again probably this wed and he'll be going there for weeks. My weekends will be super super boring! My tp is coming! 19th June. I hope I pass! driving lessons are expensive. I can't afford to fail. -_- Well, if i pass my driving, I'll be able to drive his car to fetch him when he comes back from bangkok =)
We went home after we go to mama for a while. He wasn't in a good mood anyway so we left earlier.
