last post. the singapore grand prix. F1!!!
We're supposed to be there for work - to sell ferrari, mclaren or bmw merchandise. but, due to poor organisation and coordination and that ferrari don't need any more girls to help them at the stations, the organiser said she'll reimburse us (dunno real or not cos she hasn't smsed or anwer our calls ever since) and left us in the circuit. only kx managed to work at a bmw counter at paddock. ws n i followed the organiser to and fro from esplanade to paddock and back to esplanade again. Damn it.
BUT it was a blessing in disguise. cos those who worked weren't able to catch any view from their booths. me n ws searched the place for a good free standing view of the F1 race. DAMN COOL AND EXCITING. it was one of the coolest thing i've ever seen in my life. the whole thing begins with the racers driven around the circuit in those convertible oldies and waving at their fans. then started at around 8pm. Massa was the first, followed by hamilton n raikonnen. going at ard 280kph, the F1 cars just zoom pass you. ws asked me why i didnt take photos with my camera. i replied, "i couldnt even catch it with my eyes. how fast can my camera be?"
Luckily there was a bend near to us and that's where the cars are at its slowest speed so we still manage to see. it was realy exciting cos of the time penalty (Massa) and all the overtaking and crashing (raikonnen :( ). I also took several videos of the race. The noise was DAMN LOUD. they're blasting my ears. so i had to press against my ear to minimise the volume. good to all who wore ear plugs. I bought one Ferrari - Massa jersey and a lighter with Micheal Shumacker's ( i don't think i spelled his name correctly) photo on it for baby and a Ferrari landyard for myself :) spent like $100+ on these 3 items. a bit silly. but anyway, it was really cool and me n baby will be going again next year!
F1 will be held in Sg for 5 consecutive years. Be sure to watch it at least once in your lifetime (but beware, i think it's addictive). the $ you pay is definitely worth the experience. Otherwise, you can always try to look for ways to enter the circuit for free, like us. :)))

Outside gate 3, attempt to take with the ferrari guys behind us holding the ferrari flag. haha.

at paddock - free standing, really good view! we watched the maserati race. also very loud... i think the winner is a korean or japanese.

back to esplanade. the ferrari merchandise.

we were waiting for the organiser to confirm with us.. damn sian..

our good+free view
